Radiation Protection

Meet your educational needs and advance your career in radiation safety with an Associate in Science degree with an area of study in Radiation Protection from Thomas Edison State University (TESU). Designed for health physics technicians and other radiation workers in the nuclear industry, hospitals and manufacturing, our 60-credit program is a terminal degree and many of your credits may be applied to our Bachelor of Science degree program at TESU.

Degree Requirements Credits
The following courses are required for the AS degree program with an area of study in Radiation Protection and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart. 14

  • How Students Earn Credit in the Option: Students who have completed NRRPT certification will have completed the option. Students who completed Navy Nuclear Power School will have completed most of the option
