Our priority is to change the course codes for courses TESU offers first. We expect to use the new course codes for all courses offered as of our July 2023 term. You will first see the new course codes in Student Self-Service when you are registering for courses. We also plan to change the course codes on the Moodle learning platform, on the web, and in all communications by July 1. However, it is possible that certain Moodle pages or student forms will still contain the old course codes until all the necessary adjustments are made. Using forms or materials with the three number course codes will not cause any issue for you while we work through this process. For all intents and purposes, the course codes are interchangeable. We ask for your patience and understanding as we make this transition.
In addition to the courses we offer, our records system has more than 15,000 courses that we use as equivalencies for transfer courses only. We also need to add the zero (0) to the end of all of these courses. Because of this, it is possible that we will be transitioning to the course codes through fall 2023. No matter how long the equivalency-only course code changes take, all courses and equivalencies will be recognized by our student record systems since the system matches courses internally and not by the external course codes.
