In addition to TECEPs and courses, credit in general education areas may be earned through other non-college developed exams.
Effective July 1, 2013, general education courses are organized into four main categories. Some courses can be used to satisfy requirements in more than one category but each course may only be used once in a degree. You are encouraged to work with an academic advisor to plan your general education requirements.
Area Elective (A, B or C) – Select any course from the appropriate group of courses to fulfill elective requirements for Intellectual and Practical Skills, Personal and Social Responsibility and Human Cultures and the Physical and Natural World.
General Education Electives – Select from any course listed in A, B, C or D.
1 This course is also offered as a TECEP® exam.
2 This course is ONLY offered as a TECEP® exam.
