Welcome from the President

For four decades, we have had only one mission — to provide distinctive undergraduate and graduate education for self-directed adults through flexible, high-quality collegiate learning and assessment opportunities.

Today, this mission remains at the heart of everything we do.

Our Catalogs articulate the academic policies that will govern your educational experience at Thomas Edison State University and provide a description and summary of requirements for the degree and certificate programs offered by the University. In addition, these publications include information on the learning outcomes objectives for our academic enterprise, methods for earning credit and information on the School of Applied Science and Technology, Heavin School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Management, the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing, and the John S. Watson School of Public Service and Continuing Studies.

Since our inception in 1972, Thomas Edison State University has helped more than 50,000 adults achieve their dreams of earning a college degree.

I am pleased to welcome you to our University family, and I wish you well as you pursue your educational goals.

Sincerely,

Merodie A. Hancock, PhD
President
